Sonamata Adarsh (Kanya) Vidyalaya, Solapur was established on 27 March 1968 by Vedmaharshi Somayaji Ahita Agni, Rishitulya Vajpayee Nanashri Atre.
The school was established with the noble objective of providing educational opportunities to girls from aspiring and economically disadvantaged sections of the community.
Since 2011, the school has been offering co-education by admitting both boys and girls, evolving into an institution of inclusive education.
Today, the school focuses on academic excellence, moral values, discipline, sports, cultural activities and the overall development of students.
